Anyone that has a team or is looking for a team Attention! This is the time if you want to shoot TRAP to get your stuff together. We will be starting league on May 7th 2019, and league runs for ten weeks with a bye week over the 4th of July. If you have a team that has not been in the league before, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are a shooter that would like to get on a team or try the sport again or for the first time contact us at email@example.com. The sooner you do the better. You do not need to be a member but there will be an extra fee for non members. Any questions contact us at the gmail address. We shoot on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening after 4:00 pm. Come let’s have Fun!
Are you interested in shooting Five Stand on a more regular basis?
The club is exploring the interest in shooting Five Stand. If you are interested consider joining us on Sat. May 18, 11:00 am - ? for some instruction and shooting of Five Stand. Your first round will be free with the instruction session. Any more rounds will be at the regular price of $5.00 per round for a club member or $6 per round for non- club members.
Attention Hunters and Trappers
There is a Petition to ban the harvesting of Bobcats that was filed with Colorado Parks & Wildlife in November of last year. Scheduled meeting to hear remarks from the public on this topic will be May 9th in Grand Junction. The agenda can be found on the CPW website: cpw.state.co.us.
The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission will discuss annual changes to big game hunting regulations and quotas, annual changes to game bird season dates, annual review of Wildlife Property regulations, consideration of a citizen petition requesting prohibition of commercial and recreational hunting and trapping of bobcats, Sylvan Lake State Park Management Plan, and the 2020 – 2024 Big Game Season Structure Public Involvement Report at its May meeting.
The Commission will also discuss research results on America’s Wildlife Values, updates from the Canada Goose Working Group, a Strategic Wetland Partnership from Ducks Unlimited, and a Review of Herd Management Planning.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and adjourn at 5 p.m. on May 9 at Courtyard Marriott, 765 Horizon Drive, in Grand Junction.

Hours of Operation
Rifle and pistol ranges are open to club members during daylight hours, 7 days a week. The 200 - 500 yard rifle range is closed when Trap #3 is in use.
The Blue Valley Sportsman Club is located at Mile Post 128.1 on Colorado Highway 9, approximately 27 miles north of Silverthorne, and 11 miles south of Kremmling, just north of the Summit/Grand county line. For an illustrated map, click here.
