Welcome to the Blue Valley Sportsmans Club
TRAP LEAGUE TOURNAMENT
Saturday, July 21, 9 AM
Here we are winding up the last week of 2018 BVSC Trap Leagues! Thank you all for supporting the event! We had some really great weather this year. By the “dry” score sheets, I believe we only had one night of rain! This is week 10. All 10 weeks must be completed by Thursday. There will be no “make-ups” after Thursday.
We have the usual request to ask “who’s coming to lunch!?!” We need a head count to order lunch. Mountain Lyon from Silverthorne will be catering! - but they are not bringing dessert. Let's all bring some to share.
Please write on your week 10 score sheet the head count for your team. If your team will not attend, we need to know that also. If there are some of your team members that want to attend, they are welcome. Usually there are other teams looking for additional shooters to fill their teams.
Remember to bring your own drinks, plenty of sunscreen and sun shades. We will be starting at 9- Steve will have the sign up table and directions for the event, check in with him for your score sheets. Be sure to bring plenty of ammo, as after the tournament and lunch, we will have some fun games for all to participate!
New this year for the best 10 of the 12 weeks, Teams with top aggregate scores and with handicap from 27-22 are in the A bracket. Prize money will be awarded to the 3 top teams.
Teams with the top aggregate and with the handicap below 22 will be in the B- Bracket. Prize money will be awarded to those top 3 teams.

Steve Schake, President of the Blue Valley Sportsman Club, addressing the audience at the 2017 Central Rockies Friends of the NRA Fund raising banquet held in Silverthorne, Colorado this past May. Steve described the new berm and thanked the Friends of the NRA for their financial support to complete the project.
NEW SAFETY FEATURE ADDED TO BLUE VALLEY SPORTSMAN CLUB SHOOTING RANGE
Thanks to funding provided by a grant from the Friends of the NRA, the Blue Valley Sportsman Club (BVSC) was able to construct an earthen berm this past spring to separate the rifle range and trap range. The berm is about 150 feet long and 8 feet and provides a barrier between the two ranges which alleviates potential errant rifle shots from entering the shotgun range and also provides a sound barrier between the two ranges. Prior to construction of the berm, use of the 300, 400, and 500 yard rifle ranges was not permitted during shotgun shooting activities. With the new berm, the complete shooting range can be utilized at all times with no closures necessary due to safety concerns.
Thanks to Zach from the Town of Silverthorne for the new aerial photo of the club.
